Simple to operate yet incredibly powerful, the economical M Series tractor range is ideal for a wide variety of applications from property maintenance to commercial landscaping and farming applications. Kubota’s M7040SUHD utility tractor offers powerful performance with a 68HP, 4-cylinder turbo charged, E-CDIS engine. Designed for heavy duty work and equipped with hydraulic shuttle, Creep Speed and Auto-hitch for a more productive and practical operation. Available with a variety of attachments.
Product Features
Kubota’s revolutionary new centre direct injection system (E-CDIS) engines offer more durability, power and fuel efficiency. For heavy-duty work such as ploughing, hay work and heavy trailer applications. Range shift lever provides quick and easy shifting between high and low gears, providing 8 forward and 8 reverse speeds (8F/8R), allowing the operator to choose the right gear for the task. Standard with a 540/540E hydraulic independent PTO, to increase productivity. Category I & II 3-point hitches provide fast and simple attachment of rear-mounted implements. Two external hydraulic cylinders provide equal lifting force and smooth transfer of hydraulic power for easy operation. M-Series hydraulic pumps are located on the side case instead of on the engine, shortening the oil flow path and increasing efficiency. Shifting between forward and reverse is seamless and smooth with Kubota’s new and improved hydraulic shuttle. A column-mounted lever with left-hand operation makes shifting simple. Bevel-gear front axle provides the M40 series with better all around maneuvrability, especially for jobs in tight spaces. To decrease operator effort and increase overall tractor longevity, the Kubota M8540 comes standard with Hydraulic Wet Disc Brakes. These brakes require less pedal effort and retain high performance efficiency even after repeated heavy-duty work.
Engine
The V3307-DI engine has been specially designed and built for M-Series tractors M6040 and M7040. The V3307-DI is a compact but powerful engine, offering an increased engine displacement of 3.3L. The M-Series tractors equipped with this high performance powerhouse provides high torque rise giving them the ability to take on even the most heavy-duty applications. All of the four M-Series tractors are equipped with Kubota’s revolutionary center-direct injection system (E-CDIS) engine. The E-CDIS engines offer a rare combination of more power, durability and better fuel efficiency, so you’ll be able to get the job done quicker and more efficiently while minding your budget. These engines also boast lower noise levels, which equates to less stress and fatigue after long work days. Finally, all of Kubota’s E-CDIS engines comply with EPA Tier II emission standards, so you can rest assured you’re running a cleaner engine. The engines of the Kubota M-Series tractors comply with Tier II EPA emission regulations.
Transmission
Synchronised four speeds of the main shift and a high/low range supply tractors with 8 Forward and 8 Reverse speeds, including 4 creep speed. Shifting between forward and reverse is seamless and smooth with our new and improved M-Series Hydraulic Shuttle. A column-mounted lever with left-hand operation makes shifting easy. And when attaching implements, our improved inching feature is easy to perform, giving you the same feel as a half-clutch operation. Limited Slip Differential on the front helps you maintain a stable travel speed should the drive wheel on either side of the tractor slip. A standard feature on the M7040, Limited Slip Differential is perfect when reliable traction is essential.
In The Driver’s Seat
The M7040 ROPS model features…. The new steering column-mounted hydraulic shuttle shift makes forward and reverse maneuvers smooth and quick. Clutch-less operation helps boost productivity, especially when using loaders. An improved inching feature gives the same feel as a half-clutch operation for easier attachments of implements. The range shift lever allows quick and easy shifting between high and low gears, providing 8 forward and 8 reverse speeds (8F/8R), allowing the operator to choose the right gear for the task. The new M7040SU’s main gear shift, range shift, PTO and 3-point hitch levers are grouped on the right console, and the 4WD lever is on the left console. Together, these provide an intuitive and easily accessible layout for tractor operation.
Hydraulics & PTO
The hydraulics on the M-Series are state-of-the- art. Internal hydraulic cylinders offer responsive and powerful lifting capacity (1500kg at 24inch behind lifting point). The M7040SUHD offers a large pump capacity of 43.9 litre. As a result, the front loader cycle productivity and facilitating operation. One SCD hydraulic remote valve is standard, with the option to add up to 2 more. Self-modulation engagement with a light touch means implements like a rear cutter engage smoothly. The Live-Independent, 540rpm PTO with wet- type clutch expands the use of the new M7040SUHD to include rear-mounted, PTO-driven implements such as rotary tillers, pos-hole diggers and rear-mount mowers. The Category II 3-point hitches provide fast and simple attachment of rear-mounted implements.
Front Loader
Kubota’s front loader offers superior lifting capacity, making it great for a variety of light and heavy-duty tasks on the farm or at the worksite. The loader is fully integrated into the tractor design with a slanted boom to match the tractor’s hood. This not only gives the M7040SUHD a sleek look, it supplies the operator with more visibility and clearer sight lines to the bucket and loader sides.
