Product Features

The VP1000F Folding Series Vegetable Planter has a 6 m configuration. The 7.00-12AS tyres are standard fittings and ensure low soil impact during sowing, to a maximum of 32 rows in this model. All models in the VP1000 Series can handle single, twin double row units, and the Clear Air Set system as standard conveniently blows seed coatings to the ground. The VP1000 pneumatic precision seed drill for a large variety of natural, coated or pelleted seeds like, onion, cabbage, spinach, carrot, asparagus and many other types of vegetable, as well as medicinal herbs, flowers and trees.

Versatile Frame

Whether in rigid or hydraulic folding configurations, the main frame is light but strong. The wheels are positioned behind the toolbar to optimise weight distribution, and the 4 standard gearboxes have automatic chain tensioners for seed spacing from 9 mm to a convenient 434 mm. Frame height is adjustable up to 340 mm to suit field, bed or ridged cropping.

Powerful Seeding Heart

The powerful seeding heart for the VP1000F Series is made of cast aluminium and guarantees highly accurate placement. Individual seeds are sucked to the holes in the seed discs by a vacuum and then proceed via the rotating disc to the ejection area, where the vacuum is interrupted, and the seed is placed precisely in the ground. Surplus seeds are returned to the seed flow, for maximum efficiency.

Adjustable Row Units

The modular sowing unit design includes a parallelogram-linked tandem wagon and individual units attached with a claw hitch, which allows for easy and independent row distance setting. The downward weight of the unit can be reduced or increased via the spring-loaded suspension system. Linked front and rear press wheels ensure consistent sowing depth.
