Mid Year update from the General Manager
Great to be writing these words with the grass growing and the wet weather upon us.
The majority of crops and pastures have been planted and germinated, here is hoping for a wet winter with a strong spring finish to replenish hay and silage stocks. Not so long-ago things were looking quite serious due to the dry and lack of feed and water. The Southwest has not seen a year with such dry dams and a lack of feed since 1994.
The start of the year has been quite challenging, not only the climate but also the cost of living, cost of consumables and inputs along with the Federal Governments actions surrounding Live Sheep Exports. Inflation still rising also adds uncertainty with the effects on rate rises.
That aside, sales have been solid across construction and lifestyle across both businesses and stock levels have increased post Covid 19.
Some exciting news at a business level with rebranding both businesses in the past months undertaking a project to modernise the brand without moving to far from a brand that has served both businesses for many years. This will be seen across both websites that are near completion, social media, stationary, signage and vehicles.
Keep an eye on both websites and social media for some very exciting deals and packages being put together for the new financial year.
Bunbury and Nicholls Machinery wish you health and happiness for the months ahead.
